The Quintile Almanac
Redefine Your Creative Year
Five Seasons. Endless Creativity.
A Five-Year Creative System for a Whole, Unrushed Life
The Quintile Almanac is a long-form creative and reflective system designed to unfold over five years.
The Quintile Almanac is a way of moving through time with intention. It isn’t another productivity hack or challenge.
Each quintile year represents one phase of a complete creative cycle:
- From grounding
- To risk
- To connection
- To forging
- To quest
The Quintile Almanac begins its first public year in 2026.
What is the Quintile System?
The Quintile System divides a creative life into five distinct phases, each with its own tempo, questions, and practices.
- Earthbound — grounding, tending, observing
- Leap — risk, momentum, release
- Connect — collaboration, balance, resilience
- Unforged — shaping, refining, enduring
- Quest — purpose, myth, long vision
Each phase is designed to be lived for a full year.
This allows for ideas, habits, and identity to settle naturally instead of being rushed into outcomes.
The Quintile Almanac translates this system into:
- weekly reflections
- seasonal prompts
- gentle practices
- long-arc thinking
The 2026 Living Almanac
The Quintile Almanac will be published as a living creative work in 2026.
I plan to share a new entry each week by offering a small reflection, a prompt, and a gentle act of attention.
Weekly entries reflect the current Quintile phase and its place in the year.
All entries are written slowly, in public, and in conversation with readers.
At the end of the year, the work will be collected together to become:
- The Quintile Almanac: Year I: EARTHBOUND
I plan to make this work available as a physical book and an ebook.
Future volumes will follow the remaining Quintile phases:
- The Quintile Almanac: Year II: LEAP
- The Quintile Almanac: Year III: CONNECT
- The Quintile Almanac: Year IV: UNFORGED
- The Quintile Almanac: Year V: QUEST
Why an Almanac?
I didn’t want to write a manual with a list of instructions on how to develop and nurture creativity and to live an intentionally creative life.
An almanac is a companion.
An almanac can accompany you as you travel through the year.
Historically, almanacs held:
- observations
- seasonal wisdom
- small rituals
- notes for living well over time
The Quintile Almanac returns to this idea.
I want to offer structure without rigidity and guidance without pressure.
Who this is for
The Quintile Almanac is for:
- writers
- artists
- teachers
- makers
- people carrying long creative projects alongside real life
- anyone overwhelmed by or tired of short-term systems that ignore seasons, energy, and endurance
You do not need to be “creative” in a professional sense.
You only need to be willing to move through time attentively.
How to Participate
You can engage with The Quintile Almanac in several ways:
- Read weekly entries
- Use the prompts privately
- Keep your own Quintile journal
- Follow along for a day, a week, a month, a Quintile, a year, or all five years.
There is no required pace or finish line.
There is no backlog to catch up on.
The Long Arc
The Quintile Almanac is designed as a five-volume body of work. Each volume corresponds to one phase:
- Volume I — Earthbound
- Volume II — Leap
- Volume III — Connect
- Volume IV — Unforged
- Volume V — Quest
Each Quintile year stands alone. Together, they form a complete creative cycle.
